My BFFFFFBobbi Binder is a big fat liar.  Let’s just get that out of the way, so you all know.  When Bobbi tells you a bike ride, “isn’t that hilly,” don’t believe her! You see I did and boy oh boy did I get suckered in!

Check out this diagram, it shows the 2500 feet we climbed over the course of today’s 50-Mile Revolutionary Ramble.  Does that look flat to you?

Now that’s out of the way, I will say, today’s ride was pretty cool. Much harder for me than biking the 80+ miles (2 days in a row) that was the MS Coast the Coast, because of those hills (fat people and hills don’t mix well) but there’s nothing like the sense of accomplishment you feel when you finish.

Check out what my activity monitor said about today’s ride!

I’m hoping this makes up for the past two days of inactivity

The scenery was absolutely gorgeous too!

There were lots of lovely vistas but we stopped for pics by this brook

Though we did see some homes that will make you believe in communism (seriously, who needs a house the size of an elementary school?).

The one thing I did learn from this ride is that if I intend to complete the Century for the Cure, I need to get my ass in gear with some hill training and definitely some cardio.

Kudos too to the Morris Area Freewheelers Foundation (MAFF). They did a great job with marking the route, support, rest stops and an excellent lunch. And the money goes towards a great cause, supporting the local EMS.

Looking forward to next year!

Lots of pics of me b/c Bobbi would pedal ahead and then stop to take pictures as she waited for me 🙂
