Memoirs of an Imaginary FriendIt’s been a long time since I’ve sat down with a book and not wanted to get up. As a matter of fact, as people asked what I’ve read recently that I could get excited about, I had to go back into 2014.  But no longer.

While sitting on the beach today I plowed through Memoirs of an Imaginary Friend not only because it’s an easy read but because not only did the concept grab me but so did the story.  To me, a cross between A Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, The Art of Racing in the Rain, Room with a tiny dose of the movie Ghost thrown in for good measure, though I knew the inevitable ending I still steamrolled through, at times laughing, crying and then smiling.

To say more might give a way too much, so I’ll just leave it at if you’re looking for a quick, novel read, go for it.
