I read Flash and Bones quite a while ago (catching up on reviews now) and the only thing I can remember about it (other than it being centered around the racing scene in Charlotte) was that for all my complaints about Tempe, she really jumped the shark with this one. Again, as I mentioned in Spider Bones, the character totally suffers from the same syndrome as Kay Scarpetta in the Patricia Cromwell series; for someone so smart, she does incredibly stupid things. I just can’t buy this person as a real character anymore so unfortunately, I’m stepping away from this series now.
Anyone have any recommendations for other mysteries I can tear into?
